San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino Wins ADDY Award for Best of Show

(Ontario, CA) The Inland Empire Ad Club announced this year's ADDY award winners, which were presented at the annual gala on March 20 at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center in Rancho Cucamonga.

Andrew Wilkin, president of the Inland Empire chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), announced that San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino won Overall Best of Show for their Sports Watch TV campaign. "The judges were very impressed with the level of excellence in this year's competition," said Wilkin. "And we are thrilled to congratulate San Manuel for their superior work."

Top honors also went to Ignite Design and Advertising in Rancho Cucamonga for Best of Show in Print, Maven Concepts of Murrieta for Web Best of Show and Redfusion Media of Riverside who won a Special Judges Award.

In the student category, graphic design major Niklas Meijer was the leader of The Art Institute of California-Inland Empire team that won a gold ADDY and Student Best of Show. His teammates were Jeanette Nguyen, Lucy Reyes, Robert Vidaure and Pamela Pineda.

Graphic and web design students at The Art Institute of California in San Bernardino won four gold ADDY's out of five awarded. Other student award winners represented Westwood College, La Sierra University, Platt College and San Bernardino Valley College.

According to Wilkin, the ADDY's are a three-tier competition and the next stage of judging is at the district level on May 2 at Westwood College. The national competition is June 4-7 and winners will be announced at the national AAF conference in Arlington, Va. on the same dates.
