Advertising Club Announces ADDY Awards Competition
(Ontario, CA) The Inland Empire Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) has announced the 2009 ADDY Awards competition.
Andrew Wilkin, President of the local AAF chapter in Ontario, said that the ADDY awards recognize the finest in creative advertising throughout the Inland Empire. "We are delighted to again host this prestigious competition and to honor the level of talent in the region." Wilkin is president of Wilkin Guge Advertising in Ontario.
The ADDY Awards are the industry's largest and most recognized competition, attracting over 60,000 entries every year in local ADDY judging. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising, graphic design, web design, and in elements of advertising, illustration and photography.
Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation, the local ADDY Awards are the first of a three-tier, national competition.
Local winners will next compete in district level competition and can then advance to national competition and the chance to win a national ADDY.
Wilkin said that the deadline for submissions is Friday, January 30 at 5PM. Late entry deadline is Friday February 6 with a $10 late fee per entry. He also said that entries are highly sought from local college students.
The 2009 awards gala will be held at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday, March 20.
